Felicitation Function to Confer the INSEE Lifetime Achievement Award on Professor Kanchan Chopra.
The Indian Society for Ecological Economics (INSEE), in collaboration with the Institute of Economic Growth (IEG), is organising a Felicitation Function to confer the INSEE Lifetime Achievement Award upon Professor Kanchan Chopra in recognition of her outstanding and pioneering contributions to the field of ecological economics and related areas.
The event will be held in hybrid mode on Wednesday, 5 August 2026, from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM (IST) at Shri Ramakrishna Hall, Institute of Economic Growth (IEG), Delhi. The Zoom link will be shared closer to the date, while registration details will be announced shortly.
A special highlight of the event will be a lecture by Charles Perrings, Global Future Scientist and Scholar and Co-Director of the School of Life Sciences Eco-services Group, Arizona State University, USA. His lecture, titled " Trade, Aid and Plague: The Changing World Order and Emerging Infectious Disease Risks," will explore the complex interactions between trade, development, and emerging infectious diseases.
The programme will also feature tributes from distinguished scholars and colleagues, the award presentation ceremony and Professor Kanchan Chopra's acceptance address.
