Workshop on R for Ecological Economics

Venue: TERI School of Advanced Studies, New Delhi
Dates: 16th and 17th March, 2018

Applications are invited from research scholars and teachers for a workshop titled ‘R for Ecological Economics’. The objective of the workshop is to provide hands-on experience to the participants on the uses of an analytical software, R, for researching in Ecological Economics.

The workshop will

(a) Introduce the tools in R for producing documents, presentations, graphs
(b) Introduce the statistical and model simulations in R
(c) Provide hands-on experience with datasets containing a range of variables including spatial, ecological and climatic ones.

Tentative session plan is enclosed.

Interested candidates must send (a) a 1000 words concept note on the topic of their research (ongoing or planned), (b) a copy of their brief curriculum vitae to insee@iegindia.org and (c) INSEE membership number, if applicable.

Selected candidates will be informed by: 12 March, 2018

Number of seats: 15

Fees: (a) INR 3,500 for non-INSEE members; (b) INR 3,000 for INSEE members

The course fee covers Lunch and Refreshments and Venue costs on both days. Fees are to be paid only after selection.

Selected participants will need to bring their own electronic device for using R. For advice on accommodation, outstation candidates may write to sandeepa@teriuniversity.ac.in with indicative budget and duration of stay.
