The eleventh biennial conference of The Indian Society for Ecological Economics (INSEE) will be co-organized with Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi (IIITD). The conference will be held at IIITD campus in New Delhi (India) during December 15-17, 2021. We encourage participation from academia and research institutions, and particularly from PhD students entering the job market.

This year’s conference will be based on the theme of Sustainable Societies, Ecological Systems and Economic Development with a focus on air, water, solid waste, energy, transport and health. We invite submissions that make a rigorous conceptual and methodological contribution of a theoretical or empirical nature. Submissions are encouraged from scholars working in or on the South Asia region. 

Note that:

• A few high quality papers may be considered for possible publication in Indian Economic Review, the official journal of Delhi School of Economics, India.
• In view of uncertainties due to Covid-19 pandemic the conference will be conducted in hybrid mode, i.e., select papers will be presented online while the remaining papers will be presented in-person at the conference venue.
